Michael did our landscape plans 15 years ago when we built our house in Hobe Sound. A year ago we decided to build a pool and a surrounding tropical paradise in our back yard and ran into a lot of challenges (new rules on offset from canal, FPL power lines in back yard, etc). We went to Mike for help and the landscape plan we got from his team was amazing. We could not be more impressed with their work and attention to details. They gave us everything we wanted in a landscape plan and managed to work around all the obstacles and challenges in a way that made it all seem to natural. Mike Flaugh and his assistants Anna Morgan and Pete Anderson all did an exceptional job as my landscape architect for a significant upgrade to my landscape around my entire 3/4 acre lot. They listened many times to input from my wife and me so they understood our likes, dislikes and goals, Their large scale Landscape Plans were accurate and detailed, and helped us visualize the end product. They handled the entire process of obtaining 3 bids, all from seasoned and proven Landscape Contractors, so I always felt comfortable. And, they were always there to answer questions. Mike did an outstanding job. After many years of tinkering, my and I decided we wanted to completely renovate our back yard which involved getting professional advice from the get go. I found Mike on line an made appointment for him to visit us and look over the property. We liked his suggestions and agreed to move forward with a formal landscape plan. Long story short, the project turned out extremely well and getting Mike involved from the beginning was really the key.
Mike created a very attractive design for the remodel of our home. Our original 20 year old landscaping needed to be updated to match the design intent of our remodeled home. Mike listened to our likes/dislikes and overall design intent, then asked us to complete a simple survey so he could narrow plant selections. Plans were produced, reviewed and finalized through a series of meetings. Mike offered a menu of services beyond the production of construction plans/documents, including assistance with contractor selection, review of bids and project management (some services were at an addition cost). We opted for full service except project management. Overall, our project went well and we were very satisfied with the results. Many neighbors have complemented us on our landscaping design.

We used Michael Flaugh to do a major redesign for a large piece of common property in our gated community. He did an excellent job of incorporating our ideas with his own and fitting the beautiful large trees that were already well established into the design. He also provided guidance on approaches and options that allowed us to fit a very nice design into our budget. In addition, he helped us with selecting a company to provide all the new material and do the actual landscape work.

Mike and his team created the perfect plan for our totally redone backyard (that I am enjoying now as I write this). Right from his first visit I felt like he would be the right choice and was not disappointed. The design maximized the space we had to work with and I appreciated his choice of local or indigenous plant species too. Some revisions were needed once we started getting bids and Mike, Anna and Peter helped us along the way by making refinements and in helping us understand variations in the responses to our RFP. The final plan was beautiful and creative and we ultimately hired a contractor who responded to Mike’s RFP even though I had also obtained estimates on my own. The contractors Mike connected us to all seemed to know what they were doing. We could not be happier.
